KIBRI, short for "Kindler & Briel GmbH", is one of the oldest manufacturers of model-buildings for the model railroad.
Originally the buildings were made of metal or wood, but after WW2 production in plastic took over.
KIBRI was bankrupt in 2010. Viessmann bought all rights and molds and has continued the KIBRI series.
Viessmann has incorporated the KIBRI-line in the Viesmann website.
The old Kibri-website, www.kibri.de, can now only be found on e.g. Internet Archive Wayback Machine ➚
In my childhood there were 3 big manufacturers of model buildings: Faller, Kibri and Vollmer.
KIBRI was the one that mostly focussed on industri, so it was natural for KIBRI to also make kits of lorries and various industrial vehicles.
The lorry-kits were very finely detailled, but sometimes it was easier just to buy a Wiking lorry.
I remember the KIBRI building kits as slightly difficult to assemble and KIBRI used another plastic - a harder more brittle plastic.
