Favorite books

These are my all-time favorite books / magazines issues.

My selection is very subjective and completely mirrors my own taste.

In most cases you will be able to buy the book online or by ordering at your local book-store.

Older books you have to find at second-hand book-stores.

"Unsere Modelleisenbahn" by Gerhard Rosenzweig.
From around 1966.

Unsere-modelleisenbahn Unsere-modelleisenbahn
Unsere-modelleisenbahn Unsere-modelleisenbahn
Of course, being from around 1966, this book is outdated tech-wise - BUT - it has a charm and an insight to the whole model railroad scene that modern digital books cannot transmit to the reader.

It was my first book about model railroading, and I have read and re-read it every time I need to be reminded of what it all is about.

"Auto-Bahn. Kraftfahrzeugtransporte auf der Schiene einst und heute"
Eisenbahn-Journal Exclusiv 2010-01

Auto-Bahn Kraftfahrzeugtransporte
In these modern days it is always refreshing to see that at least not all trains are container-trains.

The inter-action between trains and cars is always interesting.

The two are both "enemies" but each cannot live without the other.

This 100-page magazine is loaded with old and new photos of how the car was and is transported on trains.

I often just browse through this magazine to enjoy the photos.
